Smash Bros. Special!

This post has been long awaited for me, because this is the Super Smash Bros. Special!

Contents

This post will cover 3 Smash Bros. games: Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. for the 3ds, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Super Smash Bros. Melee

Released in 2001, this title is being put in the special because it is the current regulation competitive Super Smash Bros. game. Melee was released for the Gamecube in Japan and the US in 2001, the sequel to the original game. Melee added 2 new single-player mode along classic, adventure and all-star mode. Adventure mode featured platforming segments like the original's "Race To the Finish" minigame. All-star mode is more complicated. You choose a character, and than are given one life to fight as many games as you can, accumulating damage between games. Melee also introduced trophies, playable characters unlocked through gameplay.

Super Smash Bros. For the 3ds

Super Smash Bros. for the 3ds, otherwise known as smash 4, was released in 2014, and the only reason it is on this post is because it is the only Smash game I have played. New features include: teams mode, support for amiibo, and use of miis as fighters. Gameplay is pretty standard for smash games, but some new characters include: little mac, the wii fit trainer, and some square enix characters like Robin and Palutena.

Review

Since this is the only smash game I have played, this will include a review. I got Smash this christmas, and I LOVE it. The graphics are great, the combat is smooth, and overall, the variety of characters is awesome. They have something for every fan, if you like classic Nintendo, they have something, if you like new Nintendo, they have something. If you like Square Enix for whatever reason, they have too much! ★★★★★

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is really only on this list because it's the newest smash game. It's main new feature is that it offers the feature to set up arenas. The arenas allow a queue to form, making people wait to fight. This feature lets many people fight, but not all at once. Ultimate features the most franchises of games, with new game characters like Castlevania and Splatoon. This is the last year that characters are being added to Ultimate, so I'm hoping for some innovative characters.
